Add a landmark

Prerequisites

One or more plant locations already exist.

To add a landmark to a plant location.

Procedure

  1. Click the Landmarks tab. The Landmarks tab page displays.
  2. Click ADD LANDMARK. The New Landmark dialog appears.
  3. Select a plant from the Plant drop-down menu. The dialog updates and displays the selected plant in the Plant drop-down field. In addition, the map updates and centers on the location of the selected plant.
  4. Using your mouse and cursor, point and click on a location in the map to set a landmark marker.
    The Longitude and Latitude fields update according to the location you select.
    Note:
    You can utilize the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between a map view and a satellite view. In addition, you can use the Rotate, Tilt, and Pegman icons to make a more accurately position the landmark marker.
  5. Enter a name in the Landmark Name field.
  6. Enter a description of the landmark in the Description field.
  7. Click ADD LANDMARK. The Landmarks tab page appears and your new landmark appears with the associated plant.
