Managing plants and landmarks within the AR web portal

The AMS Optics AR web portal enables users to manage common information about plants, landmarks, and nodes from a central location. You can use this web portal to access information that is collected from a AMS Optics AR mobile app and saved in the cloud. You can designate new plant locations, edit those locations, associate landmarks with a plant location, and save those updates back into the cloud for future reference.

After you create a plant location and add a landmark and AR nodes to the location, the data is sent to the cloud and synced with the data from the AMS Optics and the AMS Optics AR app. You can then use this web portal to view all nodes that are associated with a selected landmark within a plant location.

The Landmarks tab page enables you to manage landmarks. From this page you can view a current list of plants and the landmarks associated with each plant. You can add landmarks, delete plants and landmarks, use the search drop-down field to filter and display plants, or use the search field to find a specific plant or landmark, You can also click on the column drop-down icon on the right side of the page to see additional landmark information, such as:
  • The health of the landmark
  • The plant name
  • The landmark name
  • A description of the landmark
  • The longitude and latitude coordinates of the landmark
  • The timestamp of when the landmark was last updated
  • A link that takes you to the location of the landmark on a map
The Nodes tab page enables you to view all nodes assigned to the saved landmarks.
Note:
The Nodes page is a read-only page. Users use the AMS Optics AR mobile app to produce the content that is shown on this page. You cannot use the AMS Optics AR web portal to add or edit node information.

You can click on the column drop-down icon on the right side of the page to add additional information for each node, such as:

  • The health of a node
  • The landmark name
  • The AR node name
  • The description of the node
  • The longitude and latitude coordinates of the node
  • The associated data sources for a node and a link to the associated asset or assets
