Restoring a scene from one platform to another

Use this procedure to restore an existing AR scene that was created on a device platform that is different from the platform you are using. For example, the following procedure demonstrates how to restore an AR scene that was created on an iOS mobile device to an Android mobile device.

Prerequisites

  • Launch the AR application on your mobile device and log in.
  • Make sure you are in the vicinity of the landmark that you want to view.

Procedure

  1. Select a landmark whose AR scene was created using a different platform than the device you have available.
  2. Press the AR View icon. Pressing the AR View icon takes you to the augmented reality view of the landmark.
  3. On the upper part of the AR View the following message displays:
    Restoring scene created by a different platform. Please visually identify all nodes.
  4. Point the mobile device's camera at the location of the nodes to identify all nodes. You can use the photos in the drawer on the lower part of the display as guide. The number of the identified nodes increases if a node is successfully identified.
    Note:
    To view the AR scene, you need to identify all nodes within the scene.
