Using the AR web portal

When you log into the AR web portal you are presented with a Welcome dialog. From this dialog you can click Yes and use the QUICK START wizard to configure a plant and a landmark or click No and proceed directly to the Overview tab page. If you click Yes, you are taken to the Overview tab page after you finish creating a new plant and landmark.

The Overview page serves as the initial landing page that enables you to search for a plant, a landmark, or an AR node. From this page, you can perform the following functions:
  • Open the QUICK START wizard to create a new plant and landmark
  • Use the Search field to find plants, landmarks, and nodes in the Hierarchy list
  • Select a plant, landmark, or node from the Hierarchy list and have it appear in the map
  • Open the Landmarks tab page where you can add new landmarks or view and manage existing ones
  • Open the Nodes tab page where you can view Augmented Reality (AR) nodes
  • Click on the Settings icon and then select one of the following:
    • Plant Configuration to add a new plants or view and manage existing ones
    • AMS Optic sites to view the installed server ID and the AMS Optics site name
    • Assets to view and search for assets in the asset data base. You have access to such information as the asset ID, the class definition, the short name, and the properties of the asset.
  • Logout of the AR web portal
  • Access Remote Expert if you have the Augmented Reality Plus subscription
